I am a 26 year old female that has one infant. For the last several years I have been afraid to go outside of my house. I worry about everyone seeing me. I use to love being outdoors but now it takes me great courage to go check the mail, go to the grocery store, or anything to do with outside. Why is this and what can I do about it?

You should see a doctor and talk to a therapist, they can help you get to the roots of your fear and or prescribe medications that can ease your anxiety.
i think you need to seek doctor’s advice about that matter.
Its called ‘Agrophobia ‘ the fear of the outdoors or open spaces, the opposite being claustrophobia. goi and see a shrink if you wish they will help you understand what it is you are going through.
I must admit that if you are one that spends alot of time indoors it can be a little daunting to step outside you may just need some practice . try forcing yourself to be outside more like go for walks and things and your mind could adjust.
idk i think mabe your scared to leave your confort zone, this being your house. i think there’s a name for that but if you have a infant you need to over that fear in order for your child to have a normal life. and i know it might not be easy, nothing is but i hope everything works out for the best.
i am 27 with 2 kids, and have the same problem, I went to the doc and he put me on lexapro. for anxiety and depression…. Which i dont think i am depressed but i know i have anxiety… I have been on it for a week now, and i can tell its helping, I actually want to go outside and do stuff… He started me on 5mg cause less side effects… Try asking a doc … To me it sounds like u have anxiety… and to get help is the first step!!!
