Bad cell reception due to oldness of my phone?

For starters, my residence building is made of concrete, which I do realize contributes to the problem.

However, almost everyone I talk to can still get full reception bars while inside. My phone is over 2 years old, and I can only get between 0 and 2 bars of reception while indoors.

Outdoors is fine, and my provider actually has a store on campus, so I know it’s not a provider problem.

My question is, why can other people get full reception while I cannot? Do newer phone models have better reception than my dinosaur?

the older the phone does make the difference. The electronics start to ware out and this in turn gives you a poor signal. The other thing that you need to make sure you do is turn your phone off from time to time. This allows the phone to update. Also keep your battery charged a low battery can also effect this signal. hope this helps.
