I'm ordering the 5" John Ross version, they also have a 6 1/2" Half-lug model if you don't want to go straight to the super-long barrels. Those grips are in fact made by Hogue...they are excellent. Still small enough to carry in the woods. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. I'm waiting on some dies to show up before I reload, but I'm still doing research on powder loads for the gun. Want something that is good hunting and then a set for just target practice. It will be a gun I keep and hand down to my kids though. I love the barrel length that I have. Unfortunately due to the cost of ammo, I really dont see any practical use for the gun except to have it as bear repellent and the very few trips to the range just to keep in practice.
