My ultralight gear – High Uintas Wilderness – Four Lakes Basin

Some of the ultralight gear that I routinely carry. It’s all seen a lot of hiking. You will see the six moon designs gatewood cape, golite jam 2, marmot helium at a beautiful lake in Summer 2008

mmmm.. peanut butter. You’re very right that PB is heavy. I’m fairly certain that I ate the whole jar though, so I’m not sure that it counts as a waste of weight. To be honest, I’m not sure that the jar was even full when I started. In general, I spend so much time outdoors that I like to eat whatever I want to eat, regardless of weight (fresh veggies are high on the list). Plus I’m poor, and peanut butter is good quality and value calories. Thanks for the comment!

A moose is near you sooooo “if it attacks me I will make sure to spread out ALL my gear on the ground so I can get away quick” Genius. Stupid is as stupid does.
