Well you can make a protective vest for when you are out and about...one that peolpe can see if you are stranded.

Make a small flag to put on the end of those sticks that cyclist’s have on their bikes so people can see you easier.
Or sew some on the back of your jackets, tees, or some on your belt.
All you’d need is a small amount glued on a bandana to be visible.

You may not be able to make a full vest, but you could certainly make a tabard vest (email me for specifics, if you don’t know what it is) or bright patches on an existing vest. Of course, an X vest would also be fun and different.

If you’d rather, you can get a pattern for a ‘bucket hat’ prety easily. Those are fun to make and to wear. It wouldn’t look like standard-issue safety gear, but would work just the same.

It may be a little small for this, but you might be able to make a high visibility vest out of it to wear while hiking or bicycling.
