I first saw this package deal in an outdoor magazine in Sweden, and I think the whole concept is from Scandinavia. In America it’s sold by Hycreek from Michigan. For about $250 dollars or so you get a complete layering system that is truly excellent, especially for an aspiring outdoorsman or bushcrafter. For hunters you can also get it in camouflage. You can learn more about all the components from the company’s website listed below. In this video I’m showing you the outer layer jacket. When I have more time I’ll show you the other components. www.hycreek.com

@runningdirt I agree with everything you said. It is definitely a system designed for cold weather, I think. It does tend to get quite warm if you wear all the layers. How do you like the pants? I don’t know if I’m too crazy about the velcro system being used to keep the pants together, I’d prefer a button or a snap.
I own this complete hunting suit. The material is very quiet. It is lined with Smart-tex that makes it windproof and waterproof. The pants in particular are used for many different applications; hunting, ice fishing. I have tried to use this as rain gear, but it ends up being too warm and the material does hold water. It doesn’t shed the rain off, you don’t get wet but the suit gets heavy.
that jacket does look really great! Good review, asalways ^^ 5/5

firepower vs. mobility I would agree that this jacket is power on the firepower side of the equasion. curious as to how much it weighs and what temps it’s rated for. Looks like it has a ton of features. thanks
Hehehhee that’s for sure.
That coat has enough pockets that I bet you could equip it for 3 days in the bush.
Thanks Octos, this jacket has the more traditional outdoorsman look which I like. I also liked that it came in this color rather than in camouflage so that you can wear it in town without getting too many looks.
Cool looks like if you hung it by the fire it would dry easily enough. Thanks John.
Very nice jacket, and great review. Almost looks like a BARBOUR jacket but not in waxed cotton.
I like the technical aspects without being too SWAT looking.
Great job. 5/5 stars sir.

Nice gloves too!
One more review uploading Doc, once you start you can’t stop LOL
TGH – You are EQUIPPED! Love the jacket. Nicely done review as always. Definitely “second kind of cool” for the bush!
DED, I’ve had it out in rain and snow and it’s fairly water repellent. Not waterproof in the Gore-Tex sense of the word, but great for outdoor use. I wouldn’t go jumping Bear Grylls style into a lake with it though.
nice jacket looks warm wonder how hard it would be to dry If you got it wet.
