Sophie's story

Hello Mark

I'm "Sophi" I'm Iraqi female from Southern Iraq. I'm 3x year's old I have a bachelor degree in business administrator I work with US Army Corps of Engineers and UK Army as admin assistant. from 3rd of January 2005 until 6th of May 2007 I spend all this time and I'm sure my life in danger but I need to work to get monye.

I thought every thing will be OK, but day by day the situation more bad than before and every day we hear about many people they get killed because they work as interpreter or any position with USA or British company.

So I try to find any way to feel save. In 21st of October 2006 I left Iraq to Iran with my brother in law and his family because he work as interpreter with British Army. So we try to reach Sweden by bought a fake passport and we pay 10000$ for each passport but they catch us in Qatar Airport, in December, because my trip from Iran to Doha Airport stay for half an hours (transit) and then to Paris Airport (transit too) and then to Sweden. but we couldn't.

So in December 2006 I came back again to Iraq after I've lost all my money that I save it. I came back to my position too in late December and from this date until May 2007 I never been in office daily because of the bad security situation, some times one day in week and some times two days in week. In 6th of May my friend her name is Hanan Abdullah they shoot her dead, in cold blood because she work at Basrah Airport. I left my job and stay in home from this date, until 1st of July 2007 I left Iraq to Xxxxxx, because there is no way to me just Xxxxxxx she open the border without ask us to get visa.

I try to protect my self and know I don’t know what is my future? And I don’t know what is the real reason to kill any one he work with foreign?
