Trevor: I am just sitting in my house waiting the militia to come and kill me...

My story start after 2003.

I was just finished my compulsory service in the army. I was an engineer without a job, and I have a mother and sister and a wife and my two years deaf daughter to subsist, when I received a call from my friend, M.

He Saied (do you like to work as an interpreter in KBR company); I Saied, I am ready to do anything to feed my family.

After some arrangements and interview, I start work with KBR Co. as interpreter at April 2004. For a whole one year I was a dedicated to my job in KBR. After that year I was recommended by my supervisor to work with the Corps of Engineers, since I am an engineer and he know my capability; and so it was after three months of arrangements and recommendations and interview I start work with the Corps of Engineers as junior engineer, and for a whole year I assist and supervised on many projects of renovating Iraq.

At this days the police, who is run by the militia, arrested my uncle (from my mother side) who was a religion man (sunni). Six months gone, and no charge forwarded to him, and then they accused him with the terrorist charge and they take him to the courthouse -- but the judge order was to release my uncle. The police (militia ) didn’t release him and find another charge for him; and again, the judge order was to release him, and no respond from the police (militia).

That happened three times and after the police (militia) stop taken my uncle to the court house for more than six months they claim that they have no vehicle to ride him to the court house. I told the embassy security officer about all that but he Saied "the department of the police that arresting your uncle received his order from the Iranian and we have no control on them".

At this times the threats and the assassinates actions begins to raised and at one days when I arrived to my work site I heard the shocking news. The militia killed one of my colleagues who was just married before, three months ago. They filled his body with bollets. And after few days the militia kidnapped another colleague from the same site, and killed him too.

At that time I decide to leave my job with the Army Corps of Engineers because I heard that there is some militia members investigating about me at the project site, and I was feel that there is someone following me. So I resigned, and change my resident house and went to my other uncle, who was my father in law also.

After two months I went back to my house and never leave it just in emergency and with all careful.

After about one month and at the night three militia members went to my father in law office and killed him -- three bollets, two in his chest and the third one in the head. I was panicked, and my family insist on me to leave the country and travel to XXXXXXXXXX and stay there. But guess what: there is no Arabic country welcoming us (the Iraqis) so after three months I was forced to leave XXXXXXXXXX and travel back to Iraq -- and again never leave the house.

But after four months the militia didn’t forgets me; but they don’t know my address; but they know my uncle address, so they follow my cousin to lead them to me; but he was very careful and never lead them to me.

So after a while they killed him, while he was going to his store in the industry area. A full magazine of the AK gun. 30 bollets in his body.

And now I am just sitting in my house waiting the militia to come and kill me……
