I started an amaryllis outdoors this spring. The foliage has grown steady and is quite beautiful. I kept the package that it came in and reread it, and it said that the flowers appear before the foliage. Is mine a dud? I haven’t seen any inkling that it’s even trying to form a flower stalk. Has this ever happened to you?

p.s. I’m in zone 7. I already know I’ll need to dig it up in the fall and store it through the winter. Just letting you know you’re not talking to a gardening newb, just an amaryllis newb:)

I have good luck outdoors but the one time I bought every beautiful variety of ivy from a garden store they all eventually turned brown and died and I didn’t forget to water them, maybe I over fertilized them? . I want to enjoy flowers all year and have real green foliage inside my house. I never tried paperwhites or amarylis and I will this year but what else should be easy to have success with?

I’m ordering cupcakes for my wedding, but I have to order gluten free cupcakes due to me having celiac disease. The icing that comes with the cupcakes will melt in the heat. My wedding reception will be outdoors in mid-April in the south. If I use regular store bought icing to ice them myself, will it last or will it melt? I assume it will be ok because they put so much junk in there so it can sit on a shelf and in warehouses forever.

A. Walking/ jogging serveral miles outdoors for exercise/recreation but then going home and driving to the store to pick up a few groceries or driving to a resturant to pick up dinner.

B. Driving several miles to a gym so you can run on a treadmill or sit on an exercise bike?

What am I doing wrong? Please post as detailed instructions on how to keep a pot mango plant alive and well.
What soil does it need, What kind of a pot, what temperatures, when and how much to water it, to spray the leaves or not, how to prepare it for winter indoors, should I keep it outdoors during the summer or not (I live in Mediterranean, but winters can be below zero).
I raised mine from a seed, not bought it in a store.

I’m a guy in my late 20’s with a regular build and I can’t find shorts! The stuff I find is either super baggy or so short it makes me look like a middle-aged German tourist. No more skater wannabe cargo shorts!

I’d prefer they end around the mid-knee. My mall has a sporting/outdoors store, anchor stores, Express Men, Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, AE, Hollister, Old Navy, and Eddie Bauer.

The last decent shorts I bought were at the Gap around 2 years ago. Please be specific (store, style of short, maybe even online link). Thanks!

For starters, my residence building is made of concrete, which I do realize contributes to the problem.

However, almost everyone I talk to can still get full reception bars while inside. My phone is over 2 years old, and I can only get between 0 and 2 bars of reception while indoors.

Outdoors is fine, and my provider actually has a store on campus, so I know it’s not a provider problem.

My question is, why can other people get full reception while I cannot? Do newer phone models have better reception than my dinosaur?

I recently turned 15 in this great state of Texas, and I’ve heard about being a bagboy at a store or something for minimum wage, but that doesn’t really fly.
I’m a mechanical kind of guy, so a place like home depot would be gold for me, but I’ve heard they only take 18+ year olds. My next choice would be something like Academy Sports and Outdoors or an outdoors or camping store.
NOT fast food, I’ve heard too many horror stories about working there.
