    Hi Bill,

I am assuming that these cats are new to you, so you have not had much time to get to know your cats yet.

Cats actually will tell you their names if you listen. Naming a cat is a very personal thing, and it is always a good idea to base the name on their behavior, and some special antic or a look that they have where a name will just “pop” into your head and you will know it is right.

So my suggestion to you is to watch them vigilantly and look for any “special” behavioral traits they may display and try and connect them up with an “outdoor” theme. You may even end up naming one of them “Cricket” if she is a cat that loves to jump on high places.

Also look for the species of fish that may have similar coloring to your cats.

Hope this helps and get creative.. but always “listen” to what your cats may be telling you:)

You could try the names of flowers, or trees. There are some pretty ones out there.

  5. ☪ Déjà vu ☪ says:

How about Bramble for the boy. ( Brambles, like sticks and stuff. )

And maybe even GoldenFlower for the girl?

( Both names come from the Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter, big fan, sorry. LOL. )

Or for the girl, Sunny, Daisy, or something along the lines of that.

  8. Soccerfreak!!! says:

Black and brown tabby- forest, trout, bramble, star

Orange and white tabby- fern, sunny, daisy, star

  9. Lacey says:

    Leila (Arabic: Hebrew: Persian:):
    Arabic name meaning “night.”

I know she’s orange and white, but she’s obviously much more active than your little boy. And “Leila” is so sweet sounding. *coos*

Farley: English habitational surname transferred to unisex forename use, composed of the Old English elements fearn “fern” and leah “clearing, meadow,” hence “fern meadow.”

Congrats on the new kitties :D I hope this helped.
