Wisconsin has great state camping areas... the last one we stayed at was at Kettle Moraine Forest (Northern Unit). There are two lakes with campsites and can be used by anything from tents to big campers. You didn't say what part of the state but there are good campgrounds all over Wisconsin. Most have hiking trails, etc. I'm including the website for the State Parks. You can reserve spots online if you want..
Have fun! :)
