    I’ve just googled ” …
I’ve just googled “Warrior cooking kit”. It’s a budget version of the Brit Army ’95 Patt (aka “Crusader”) Mug and Stove made by BCB. MUCH better than the ’44 Mug! Mug doesn’t burn your mouth, too.

I’ve been using the set for over 10 years now. One point about the Teflon version: it QUICKLY burns off of the Stove. The Teflon Mug might also be overkill: the uncoated Mug cleans well & easily. I don’t know if that coating burns off.

    Anyone?

Cuz, yo, if you can …
Cuz, yo, if you can get water on the trail, (I.e. not in the desert), then you don’t have to carry 5 days worth of water.

    what is the point …
what is the point of bringing dried food, you still have to carry the water to rehydrate it anyway. if the place you go has fresh water, then you might as well carry some m.r.e.’s

    m punking on the …
m punking on the brink…all that ugly chemical crap moreover this stuff is quiet expensive….use army combat rations !!! :) ( no u.s.-rations…same crap) substantial, cheap and tasty…my recommendation: german army field rations called “epa”

12 meal packs for 3 days?

  8. LakelandNomad says:

    24 hour british …
24 hour british ration packs along with a warrior cooking kit are both tasty and lightweight, you can use water from a puddle to cook them if required as the whole packages are fully sealed and boil in the bag.

for a 3 day, 2 night trek i will take around 12 meal packs, total weight is under 3kg (with warrior cooker and fuel gel)
they are designed to keep troops fed whilst on the battle ground so will keep a trekker fed for sure.

    would something …
would something like Ramen noodles be a decent meal on the trail?

  10. legion2k says:

    Pack what you eat …
Pack what you eat every day or a version of it. Last thing you want is to find out some *new* food gives you ‘issues’ 17miles and 2 days out.

Also, only pack dehydrated foods if water is available where you’re going.

good vid! I just dont agree with the bit about weight, you should always bring more food than you intend to eat incase you end up in a survival situation.
