Remember tho, the bigger the firepit, the more firewood you will need. Prepare for your needs; a raging bonfire or warmth for a few people.

Of course this depends on the type of firewood you might be using.

If I’m making a fire for 2 or 3 people, 1/8 cord of dry seasoned firewood will last all night with plenty to spare.
